Structure Fire – Maloney Road – Town of LaGrange

On March 28, 2022, at 16:00 hours, the LaGrange Fire District responded to a reported house fire on Maloney Road in the Town of LaGrange. Incident Command, arrived quickly, reported smoke showing, and all occupants were out of the residence. The fire was upgraded to a 2nd alarm at 16:04 hours, pulling in resources and personnel from the mutual aid departments of Arlington, Pleasant Valley, Union Vale, East Fishkill and EMStar Ambulance to the scene.
At 16:09 hours, initial crews began an aggressive attack and entered on the first floor of residence to find two rooms involved in heavy smoke and fire. The fire was brought under control by 16:21 hours. With the fire under control, crews began checking for fire extension to the second floor. Pleasant Valley, and EMStar provided coverage for the remainder of the Lagrange Fire District. The homeowner was transported to a local hospital for evaluation of minor smoke inhalation by EMStar Ambulance.
In addition to the fire districts that provided mutual aid, the LaGrange Fire District would like to thank Dutchess County Sheriff’s Officers, Central Hudson Gas and Electric, the LaGrange Town Building Inspector and the Dutchess County Department of Emergency Response Fire Investigation Division for their immediate response and assistance on scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by LaGrange and the Dutchess County Fire Investigation Division. The incident was concluded at 20:24 hours on March 28, 2022.
