Possible Cardiac Arrest Patient
On the morning of September 13, 2019 the Arlington Central School District high school staff, Dutchess County Sheriff’s and LaGrange Fire District responded to 1157 Route 55, Arlington High School for a 17-year-old male possible cardiac arrest patient.
While en route units were notified that CPR was in progress and the patient was being defibrillated. Due to the nature and intricacies of the location, both LaGrange ambulances and the rescue responded. Upon arrival, the crews found the school nurses and staff performing CPR on the patient. The patient care was transferred to LaGrange EMS and transported to the hospital.
Due to a quick response by the school staff and continued advanced medical treatment from the EMTs and Paramedics the patient went from cardiac arrest to talking at the hospital.
