NOTICE OF ANNUAL ELECTION
LAGRANGE FIRE DISTRICT
DECEMBER 13, 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual Election of the LaGrange Fire District will take place December 13th, 2022 between the hours of 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM for the purpose of electing one Commissioner for a five (5) year term, commencing on January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2027, and to fill the vacancy of one Commissioner for a three year term, starting on January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2025.
Voting will take place at the following locations:
Firehouse #1, 2388 Route 82, for residents of General Election Districts 7, 9, and 10;
Firehouse #2, 504 Freedom Plains Road, for residents of General Election Districts 1, 5, 6, 8 & 12;
Firehouse #3, 21 Red Oaks Mill Road, for residents of General Election Districts 2, 3, 4 & 11.
All resident voters of the Town of LaGrange who are registered with the Dutchess County Board of Elections on or before November 21, 2022 shall be eligible to vote.
Candidates for Fire Commissioner shall have filed their nominating petitions with the Secretary of the LaGrange Fire District, at the firehouse located at 504 Freedom Plains Road, no later than twenty days before the election (November 23rd, 2022) and it must be subscribed by at least twenty-five (25) registered voters of the LaGrange Fire District. Nominating Petitions are available upon request from the District Office.
