Tragedy after Highschool football game

On the evening of Friday, September 17, 2021, the LaGrange Fire District responded in conjunction with the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office and multiple Law Enforcement Agencies who responded to a fight in the Arlington High School parking lot immediately following the football game at 20:58 hrs.
LaGrange’s EMS who was returning from being on standby at the prior football game, immediately turned around to assist, along with two additional LaGrange advanced life support ambulances. Additional agencies who responded to assist where New York State Police, Town of Poughkeepsie Police, City of Poughkeepsie Police, Town of East Fishkill Police, Village of Wappingers Falls Police, and Northern Dutchess Paramedics going on stand-by to cover additional EMS calls in the LaGrange Fire District.
Utilization of LaGrange’s Rescue Task Force joined with Law Enforcement to find and treat additional injured individuals. The Rescue Task Force units encountered one critical patient who was immediately removed and transported with Advanced Life Support to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital, later succumbing to their injuries. Three additional patients were subsequently treated in the casualty collection point and release on scene.
The incident was fully mitigated and turned over to the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office at 23:25 hrs.
