LAGRANGE

The LaGrange Fire District covers a response area of approximately 40 square miles and 16,000 residents, and handles approximately 2200 calls for service a year, which averages out to about 6 calls a day. In order to provide the best service, as efficiently as possible, all of our on-duty Career staff are dually trained and certified as both NYS Fire Fighters and NYS EMT/Paramedics, allowing them to be able to handle whatever calls for service may come in. They are supplemented by an assortment of very dedicated and hard-working volunteer personnel who provide additional fire and/or EMS support. LFD is very proud of the strong working relationship the Career and Volunteer staff have. Members from both parties work together seamlessly to achieve the same goal; providing the best possible service to the Town of LaGrange.
