The annual statewide ban on open burning will go into effect this year on 3/16/22 and will conclude, unless extended, on 5/14/22.

Please be advised, per the Department of Environmental Conservation this ban is enacted in order to reduce the risk of uncontrolled brush fires due to the low humidity levels and increased winds and has reduced the incidence of wildfires by 40% since 2009.
